Full Day Sandwich Harbour Trip

Service Description

We start our 7 hour adventure by introducing you to our beautiful lagoon and salt pans filled with pink flamingos, before starting the amazing trip to Sandwich Harbour, through the dry Kuiseb Delta. To get there we will brave the dunes, dipping and cresting the sand waves, and creeping slowly down a slipface to hear the dune roar a greeting! Experience the crashing waves of the sea on one side, and the soaring heights of the sand dunes on the other. Should the tides be against us and the seas cut us off from the lagoon, we will climb the mighty dunes and take you to a viewtop instead. As we have time, we explore deeper into the Kuiseb Delta, looking out for the black-backed jackal, fog-basking beetle, dancing spider, shovel-snouted lizard, springbok, brown hyaena and ostrich. We’ll show you the !Nara plant, endemic to Namibia and used by the bushmen as a source of protein. Included in this tour are some delicious platters, oysters, sparkling wine, soft drinks, Namibian beer, juice and real filter coffee.
